Oddi fishing and fish production

This is a project me and my brother will never forget! We still talk about how hectic the whole mission was.

Oddi hf. is a fishing production in Patreksfjörður which is a small town in the Westfjords. They wanted us to make a video that showcases their whole process. It begins with the fishermen going out to sea and ends with the finished product being sent out of town as you can see in the video above.

To properly document this we would of course go with the fishermen out to sea and that was 100% the most difficult part of the shoot. Flying the drone and landing it was really tricky since the boat was always moving. we had to document every part of the process so that meant we would have to shoot both day and night which was also a little tricky. Lastly I got very seasick the last two days which was not helping.

After this trip I have so much respect for the people that do this work. Even though this was a really challenging and hard shoot it brings back some of the best memories I have with a camera in my hand.
